Preparing Statement of Purpose and Application Essays
Writing effective SOPs and essays
The Statement of Purpose (SOP) is a statement of your academic and career goals and background. It is one of the four most important documents that admission committees will use to evaluate you as a candidate for higher studies. (The others are recommendation letters, transcripts and your scores for the GRE® test). Having a good SOP can often compensate for a moderate academic record and a relatively low GRE score, making it possible for even an average student to get admission to a good university. To help you prepare a good SOP we put you through a workshop and personal sessions with our SOP counselors.

Selecting recommenders and knowing what to highlight
Recommendation letters are the second-most crucial documents that admission committees require. Usually 3 recommendation letters are requested along with every application form to certify that you are a deserving student. Our SOP counsellors provide guidance on how recommendation letters should highlight your academic and professional achievements based on your areas of interest.
University Selection
Knowing where to apply
University selection is the most crucial stage of the application process. It is done based on your test scores, at least 7 months before the time you intend to join your prospective universities. Based on our extensive experience in this field and contacts with our past students in almost all American universities, we help you select good universities to apply to, where chances of getting financial assistance are also good.
Online Application Assistance and Preparation of Application Packets
Customizing your applications for different grad-schools
Our expert staff provide guidance on submitting online applications to universities and comprehensive checklists for all the universities based on their different requirements. Otherwise you may waste a lot of time in correspondence with the university about missing documents and also lose your chances of admission.
Preparing RA/TA Applications
improving your prospects of getting financial assistance
A major chunk of your educational expenses can be taken care of if professors offer you research or teaching assistantships (RA/TA). We help you to write excellent letters of application to professors in your area of specialization and match your background, work experience and interests with their research areas. Most of our students get positive responses.
Visa Counseling
preparation of financial documentation and for the visa interview
Many students fail to clear the visa process due to poor preparation. We conduct workshops to guide you in preparing the required visa documentation. Through mock interviews, we also train you to answer all the probable questions that visa authorities might ask in interviews.
Pre-departure Orientation
The final step- help on getting there
We conduct an informative seminar (and provide a booklet) on international air travel, foreign exchange, and practical details such as medical and food supplies to be taken, housing arrangements, insurance and information on the formalities to be completed at the port of enrty. Through our network, we also connect you with other students going to the same university, so that you can fly together and share accommodation the US.
