About the SAT

The SAT is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
It is published by the College Board, a private, non-profit organization in the US.
The SAT is generally conducted in March, May, August, October and December.

Score Structure

The raw score is converted to a scaled score of 200 to 800 points. The score structure is as follows:

Total score: 400–1600

Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Section: 200–800

Math Section: 200–800
